Scott has over 25 years of executive experience, including leadership roles in private, corporate, and non-profit sectors. Scott applies his diverse leadership expertise to help organizations identify emerging trends, engage in critical policy issues, exchange proven practices, and advance their missions.
Scott has served as the “Chief Problem Solver” for Community Reinvestments, a Huntsville-based holding company with controlling interest in 18 entities. In 2020, Community Reinvestments restructured to embrace the directive of investing 50% of profits into educational programs, job and business ownership development for minorities, anti-trafficking endeavors and helping the homeless.
Scott has leveraged his executive experience to execute top-quality real estate deals that outperform the market averages and significantly out pace stock market yields. As the founder of reINVEST Fund, Scott has created a vehicle for others to partner as passive investors to build wealth via real estate.
Scott and his wife (27 years), Melanie, reside in Huntsville with their two children.
Steve is currently the Managing Member of Maddox Holdings, LLC, MHB Holdings, LLC, and Old Row Development. Cumulatively, these various entities develop, manage, and hold a variety of commercial real estate in their respective portfolios, with high quality tenants such as Verizon Wireless, Amazon, Family Dollar, Subway, and Rock N Roll Sushi, among others. In 2010, Steve created Maddox Holdings in order to develop and hold real estate specifically for his wireless business which consisted of over 50 Verizon Wireless stores. Through his 22 years of entrepreneurial experience, he has a very unique approach to commercial real estate. Coupled with his keen skills in site selection as well as his vast network of business relationships, Steve has the expertise to visualize a potential project’s success from both the developer and tenant’s perspective.
Steve is extremely passionate about commercial real estate and takes personal pride in the successes of his tenants and investors. His business acumen is also evident in his many accolades, including being selected by the UAB Collat School of Business for the 2015 Retailer of the Year award for the Alabama Retail Association. Amongst a myriad of other distinguished sales awards from Verizon and Alltel Communications, he also was the finalist for the 20 16 Small Business Man of the Year for the Wiregrass Area Chamber of Commerce.
Steve currently resides in Dothan, AL, with his wife Candice, and their 4 children. Candice also is co-owner of a Rock N Roll Sushi franchise chain in Alabama and Florida.
